Griffith Observatory

A850SRLED Old Town

Since 1935 the Griffith Observatory has been a symbol of Los Angeles, inspiring everyone to observe, ponder, and understand the sky. Sitting high on top of the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood, it commands a view of the Los Angeles Basin, overlooking downtown and the Pacific Ocean.

Sternberg's Old Town A850SRLED luminaires line the walkways of the front lawn, flanking the Astronomers Monument. The roof mounted LEDs and optics produce minimal uplight, shielding the night sky.
